New City Featured on Educators for Social Justice Podcast

This June, New City School was featured on the Educators for Social Justice (ESJ) Podcast. Educators for Social Justice is a grassroots, teacher-led professional development group located in St. Louis, MO. They seek to develop and support socially just, equitable, and sustainable practices in schools and communities and are committed to connecting educators and building networks to mobilize resources to promote progressive change. ESJ works to promote the idea that developing socially just curriculum is a form of activism, and we were thrilled to share what Diversity Beyond the Numbers looks like in practice at New City School on ESJ’s podcast. What does an active commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion look like in our school community and in our classrooms? How has this evolved? How is this integrated into the fabric of who New City is as a school? How does this impact our graduates?
