Meet the Staff: Missey Doll, Third Grade Teacher

What words best describe you?
Organized, Energetic, Determined, Helpful
How long have you been at New City School and what did you do before coming here?
This is my tenth year. I taught (1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades, and was also a school counselor) in Ferguson-Florissant for 14 years.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I have been married for 25 years, am a mom of an NCS grad (now a senior at Crossroads), and have lived in St. Louis all my life.
What do you like to do when you're not at New City?
I enjoy watching my son play sports (particularly soccer), going to sporting events and spending time with family and friends.
What did six-year-old Missey want to be when she grew up?
I wanted to be a teacher or a speech pathologist.
What is your ideal vacation?
With family and friends in a warm place by water.
What is something that most people don't know about you?
I am the ultimate Cardinals fan; in fact, I would love to be Fredbird.  Another tidbit: My great, great uncle was Jim Bowie (inventor of the Bowie Knife).
What else do you want people to know?
I LOVE to dance.
