Meet the Staff: Christine Knoten, Pre-Primary Assistant

What words best describe you?
Enthusiastic, high-energy, thoughtful, caring, loving.
How long have you been at New City School and what did you do before coming here?
This is my 7th year at New City School.  Before coming here, I was a 28-year professional educator of the Montessori Method for preschool to first grade.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I have always enjoyed educating young children.
What do you like to do when you're not at New City?
When not at New City school, I like to knit, sew, bake, cook, read, and bike. (Have you seen my dog seat cover?)
What is your ideal vacation?
Anywhere in Europe, which gives my husband and me a chance to visit our daughter, son-in-law, and three grandchildren.
What is something that most people don't know about you?
I enjoy doing RAK's (Random Acts of Kindness) which I consider a way to spread peace.
What else do you want people to know?
I like to make people laugh. Also, we have three sons who live in Chicago or the St. Louis area, so we are kept busy doing grandparent things with our five grandchildren.
