Food Drive Collects Enough to Feed 657 Hungry People for a Day!

Sixth graders organized a food drive for Operation Food Search, a local food pantry. As usual, the New City School community stepped up to the bat!

The food drive collected 11 pallets of food -- about 2,365 pounds! That's enough to feed 657 hungry people in our region for a day.

Operation Food Search distributes more than 2.75 million pounds of food and necessities to 250 community partners in 25 Missouri and Illinois counties and the City of St. Louis. Operation Food Search feeds approximately 190,000 people every single month – about a third of these recipients are children.

Way to go, New City!

The 4/5s students sang a song as they made their donations!
