“A Winter Tribute” Band Assembly is a Success!

Students Kindergarten through 6th grade participated in the New City School Band assembly last Friday morning. The assembly entertained students, staff and administrators for almost an hour, and served to gear up the band for the "Winter Tribute" concert taking place the same evening.

Band is not new to New City School, but this year's band only featured six veteran players and has only been practicing for eight weeks. They've accomplished so much in so little time!

In addition to the full New City School Band, the Strings Orchestra also played at the assembly, including several solo performances.

Kudos to all, and special thanks to Joe, our fantastic Music Director!
