- In The Classroom
5th Graders recently looked at the work of artist/activist Robert Fogarty and his distinct message-on-skin portrait style. In his Dear World project, he photographs people around the world—from Joplin to Syria—sharing their personal message. As an ally, he says he isn't changing the world, but taking pictures of people who are. The 5th Graders spent some time formulating their own meaningful messages to photograph, using the following prompts to guide their thinking:
- Here I Come World: What do you want the world to know about you?
- Life Passion: How is your passion expressed? What are you passionate about?
- Be the Change: What issues are important to you? What do you wish did or did not exist in this world?
