3rd Graders Sell Crafts for Ukraine Relief

  • In The Community

Thinking of how to help others and contributing time and energy to raise awareness and taking action are all characteristics of the New City School mission. A group of 3rd Graders recently embodied these characteristics as they worked together to make a difference for humanitarian aid in Ukraine.

The students coordinated their efforts during weekend playdates, and sold handmade Ukraine-themed crafts, such as flags and buttons, during our recent school picnic, with all proceeds going to support relief efforts by Doctors Collaborating to Help Children. At the end of the night, they had raised over $526!

We're so proud of these students for their leadership and their endeavors to help others. Great job!
