Joggin' Your Noggin Trivia Night

Hosted by beloved New City School Librarian and trivia expert extraordinaire, Joe Corbett, this tradition is a community favorite benefitting the New City School library.

Celebrating a Record Breaking Trivia Night

Thanks to everyone who hopped into our time machine to celebrate their favorite era at New City School’s 21st Annual Joggin Your Noggin “Through the Decades” Trivia Night this past Saturday night. Representing the past, present and future, the costumes and table decor added a great element of fun to the evening, and we are grateful to the nearly 300 New City members of our community including current families, alumni, parents of alumni, faculty and staff, and friends who joined us for this sold-out event.

We are delighted to share that we have raised nearly $14,000 in support of our beautiful New City School library! Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, table, volunteered, participated in our raffles, or made monetary (or literary) contributions!

Of course, the night could not have happened without the help of many people, most especially Joe Corbett, our Trivia Master Extraordinaire; current parents and caregivers Jill Jasper, Angela Webster, April Goode-Segree, Mike Jones, Delana Joiner, and Clare Voss; past parent Leah Costantino; and faculty and staff members Jonelle Harris, Beth Gibson, as well as the New City Advancement Team. Their hard work and commitment made the night a huge success.

Thanks also to the many parents, faculty and staff, and alumni who volunteered as judges, and to the student runners during the event.

New City alumnus Will Gilbert, Class of 2000 was the final competitor left standing during Family Feud. While we all enjoyed the fun and friendly competition, first place also went to Will’s table where they achieved a total score of 138 out of 145, successfully answering 95% of the questions. Congratulations to them! Josh Levan won the Pick Your Payout drawing and generously donated his winnings back to New City School. Raffle winners were Delta Stokes Seward (Solo Backyard Bundle) and Hannah Green (Bookworm Basket).

Thank you again to everyone who came out to test their knowledge and raise funds for our amazing library. We look forward to seeing everyone at next year’s event. Watch for more details to come!
