Visit New City School
Thank you for your interest in New City School!
If you would like to schedule a tour, please contact our Director of Admission and Enrollment Management Abby Hillman at email@example.com. Due to guidelines from local government and health organizations in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19, in-person tours will only be offered to vaccinated parents and caregivers.
During this time, we are also offering meetings with our Director of Admission and Enrollment Management via Zoom so that interested families can get answers to their questions about our school. Click here to get started!
Attend an Open House
We hold two open houses each year, in November and January. Join us to learn more about our school!
Our 21-22 Open Houses have now passed. Recordings from our Virtual Open House on January 13th will be available in the coming days—please check back soon!
If you are interested in viewing the recordings of our 20-21 Virtual Fall or Winter Open House, please get in touch!
Saturday Sneak Peeks
Finding the right school fit involves the whole family, and we want your children to have a chance to experience New City School for themselves! All classes will begin at 10:00AM. For in-person classes, health screenings and mask-wearing will be in place. Registration is required: click here to sign up!
“Snow Much Fun” (ages 4-6)
Please note that "Snow Much Fun" has been postponed due to the recent increase in COVID cases in the St. Louis area. We will communicate a new date when safe to gather. Thank you for understanding!
- January 29th: Virtual Music Class with Brian (all ages)
Join music specialist Brian for a morning of movement, singing, and percussion activities that explore New City School and beyond! Students do not need any supplies other than themselves.
- February 5th: Virtual Story Time With Heidi (ages 2-5)
Join us one Saturday morning each month for stories and songs with Heidi Kehle (one of our wonderful preschool teachers), who will be sharing her stories and musical magic through Story Time each month. Grab a snack (and some coffee for the grown-ups!) and get ready to sing, dance, and listen to stories! This school year, Story Time is taking place virtually: registrants for these Sneak Peeks will be added to the mailing list to receive each month’s video, and will have access to our gallery of past Story Time videos!
- February 5th: Tinker Saturday with Eric (1st - 6th Grade applicants)
Build, create, and problem-solve in The Tom Hoerr Innovation Lab! 1st-6th Graders can enjoy time to explore and experiment with our science specialist, Eric. Students will complete a STEAM activity and use batteries, wires, and motors to create unique artwork, all of which will also have parts made using our 3D printers and laser cutters. Participants will be able to take home their creations at the end of the day.
Parents and caregivers will remain at school while their child participates in any in-person activities, during which time they will have opportunities to talk with administrators and to ask any questions they may have about New City.
