Message from the Director of Enrollment Management
Welcome to the first step in your family’s educational journey! I am beginning my ninth year in my role as Director of Enrollment Management here at New City School, and my thirteenth year in Independent School admissions. While many things have changed since I embarked on the world of admissions—innovation, technology, and social media—many things have remained the same: the importance of a school family, alignment of values and mission, and preparation for secondary school and beyond.
New City’s curriculum has a depth that will not only provide an academic foundation, but also the opportunity to explore, problem-solve, and collaborate. In addition, we consciously work with children on social emotional growth and development to ultimately guide them not only to be good students but good people. All of this is possible in our New City school family, committed to academic success, inter and intra personal growth all within a diverse and inclusive community. Not only will your child grow, but you will as well.
Everything we do is driven by our four pillars – Academic Excellence, Joyful Learning, Diversity Beyond the Numbers, and The Personals. Not only do graduates of New City matriculate to the best secondary schools, but they do so with confidence, an incredible understanding of themselves, and a sense of the world around them.
With my experience in admissions, love for everything New City, and belief in the power of young minds, I hope to be able to support you throughout the process of learning more about our educational philosophy and admissions. Explore New City by coming to tour – visit the campus, meet faculty, and administrators.
Following guidance from health officials in St. Louis City and St. Louis County, New City School is closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year in order to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Remote learning for all students will continue during this time. For further information, including resources and an archive of related school communications, please visit our COVID-19 Resources page.
We are still accepting applications for the 2020-21 School Year! Please click here for more details on how to apply.
