I’m so glad you’ve found your way to New City School. As the Director of Admission and Enrollment Management, as well as a mom and former elementary school teacher, I understand just how much heart and thought goes into choosing the right school for your child. I have the joy of getting to know families who are looking for something more in a school, and I’m excited to introduce you to this vibrant, thoughtful community.

 

At New City, learning is both joyful and purposeful. Our curriculum is grounded in the theory of Multiple Intelligences, encouraging children to explore ideas through a wide range of lenses, such as logical-mathematical, linguistic, interpersonal and intrapersonal, and more. It’s a great fit for students who are curious, motivated, and ready to grow in a nurturing community.

 

We believe that education should prepare children not only for the next grade, but for a meaningful life. That includes developing confidence, empathy, and a strong inner compass. When children feel safe in who they are, they bring that sense of self into every relationship, every challenge, and every opportunity. By pairing academic excellence with a deep commitment to personal growth, diverse perspectives, and joyful discovery, our students don’t just learn; they develop a strong sense of who they are and how they can contribute to the world around them.
