New City School's approach to education is both challenging and joyful, focusing on teaching students to analyze and solve problems. Our students pursue a rigorous curriculum in reading, writing, mathematics, and science, and begin in the early grades to study foreign language, music and the arts. In the process,they learn to reflect on their own strengths and weaknesses, work collaboratively with others who are similar to and different from themselves, and to be responsible and independent in their studies.
