Financial Aid

Financial Aid

In support of socio-economic diversity among its students and families, New City School School has been committed to providing a significant amount of need-based financial aid since its founding in 1969. We have a dedicated financial aid endowment and all families support financial aid through tuition, annual giving, and other fundraising events.

All of our students benefit from the range of diversities at New City School, including our economic diversity. Our primary tool for attaining economic diversity is through need-based scholarships, awarded to a third of our student body. Our need-based scholarships enable families to pay tuition rates that are based on their individual income levels.

The following chart can give you an approximation of whether or not your family would benefit from a need-based scholarship. Please contact Melanie Harmon, Director of Admissions, if you have any questions.
