ANNUAL GIVING

Independent schools like New City do not receive tax dollars.  As is the case at all independent schools, a gap exists between the real cost of educating each student and the tuition charged.  Each year, all families are expected to make a tax-deductible contribution to the annual giving campaign to help bridge this gap, which this year is $1,550 per child.  Some families will give more than $1,550 per child, others will give less; everyone gives what they can.  Our annual giving goal for the 2007-08 school year is $250,000.

In addition to current families, parents of alumni, friends, neighbors, grandparents and alumni give to annual giving to continue to sustain and enhance the quality of the New City School experience.
