NEW CITY SCHOOL ALUMNI
New City School alumni can be found at the top secondary schools and colleges and universities all over the country, and doing interesting and exciting things on most continents - from working in (and leading!) law firms, schools and hospitals in the U.S., to serving in the Peace Corps in Kenya.
We will continue to update and expand this section as we hear from YOU, our alumni. Please join us for an event and/or update your contact information. We look forward to hearing from you!
Fond Memories
Here's a memory of Tom and New City School from Nicola Short, New City School Class of 1986; BA, Georgetown Foreign Service, 1992; MA, University of Bradford, 1998; PhD, London School of Economics, 2004:
"
Since graduating from New City School, I have had more cause to reflect on my time at New City, having studied later at several more institutions and finding myself now in the role of professor at York University. I think the pedagogical ethos at New City, particularly under Tom's direction,is incredibly special. I really credit it with giving me the courage to think critically and independently, and with understanding learning as a democratic, participatory practice. New City, particularly we students/alumae, are extremely lucky to have had Tom's vision and leadership over the last 25 (!) years. Congratulations to him for such an accomplished tenure as director and best wishes for the coming years of no doubt equally impressive success. "
